The client envisioned a 3x6m dessert kiosk in the bustling south entry precinct of Karrinyup Shopping Centre, aiming to replicate the charm of their flagship café in Perth CBD on a smaller scale. The design needed to incorporate the existing orange and white color scheme and cater to a diverse clientele of young adults,
social media enthusiasts, families, and food connoisseurs. Central to the design was the integration of a
bespoke cake display to create a harmonious and visually appealing experience.

Drawing inspiration from the Gemini star sign, the designer fused Asian influences with a modern Western aesthetic to present meticulously crafted desserts and savoury treats. A vibrant and fun colour palette of oranges was used throughout the kiosk, enhanced by halo lighting to emphasise energy and freshness. The centrepiece, a curved white display counter, showcased the chef’s creations in a custom-made glass cabinet. Customer engagement was prioritised, with the chef’s workspace positioned to facilitate constant interaction, adding to the unique experience.
